From today, Friday 11 May, Basque companies and professionals have the BasquedINT social network to contact the whole Basque internationalisation community 2.0. The Basque Government's Deputy Minister for Innovation and Technology, Juan Goicolea, today unveiled a new tool that will begin to work flat out to drive business collaboration and interconnect all those Basque stakeholders - professionals, clusters, companies, etc. - that do or want to do business abroad and thus boast their activity.
The strength of BasquedINT resources lies in the Internet 2.0. commercial and business application and its tools (social media). Available in English, Spanish and Basque, it can be used to create discussion and wroking parties. This network will provide its users with news, information on trade mission, market surveys, country datasheets, internationalisation processes and events of interest. It will likewise enable blogs, wikis, news feeds, photo galleries, discussions, documents and surveys.
After a test period, Goicolea, along with the General Manager of GAIA, the Basque Association of Electronic Information and Technology Industries, Tomás Iriondo, explained the virtues of this social network that will allow the Basque company to expand its partnership network thanks to the many options offered by the social networks. The interested parties can have free access to "Intersarea", the database of the Basque Government regarding business internationalisation, contacts with busines partners with common interests in foreign countries, obtain information on markets, access to country datasheets, create private working parties and recruit professionals or access calls for applications for grants and subsidies for companies and professionals.
BasquedINT
BasquedINT is a social network that seeks to put the whole Basque Internationalisation Community in contact. It began as an initiative of the Basque Internationalisation Council, where companies through different bodies and institutions are represented. As has been explained, its objective is to foster business collaboration and exchanging information between the different stakeholders and provide them with knowledge, resources and tools.
BasquedINT comprises SMEs and large corporations interested in working together and sharing experiences, companies established abroad, clusters, sector associations and other bodies representing companies, entities who promote internationalisation, entrepreneurs with projects to develop, interns and former internationalisation interns (First group already created) and any type of professionals although it will gradually open up to different collectives.
BasquedINT will look for business collaborations and professional contacts, news and information about markets, sectors or countries, share projects and experiences, discuss trends and the current situation in the Basque company abroad, have the latest news about subsidies and trade missions, and provide tools and resources.
