The Basque Country, the setting for "Guernica 33 days"

Directed by Carlos Saura, the film will star Gwyneth Paltrow and Antonio Banderas and chronicles the creation of how and where Picasso painted his mythical painting, Guernica. Filming is scheduled to begin on 12 September.
Carlos Saur's team is already working on "Guernica 33 Days" and this Sunday they visited the town in Gipuzkoa that is the film's namesake in the search for locations for the filming.
The feature film is backed by the Basque Government.
The film stars Antonio Banderas and Gwyneth Paltrow. The actor for Malaga will play Pablo Picasso, who had a love affair with Dora Maar, the photographer who captured on film the stages of the painting that the painter produced after the bombing of Gernika on 26 April 1937.
