The III World Quality Congress invites the Basque Government to showcase its excellent management model

• - 29 countries have been invited to the Congress being held in Colombia and the Basque representative will be Tomás Orbea, the General Manager of the SPRI Group.
• - This congress aims to contribute to improving the management of the participants thanks to the feedback from the 29 countries on their experiences.
• - The themes to be discussed are competitiveness, good governance, innovation and quality and excellence, environmental management, health, education, and entrepreneurship.

The quality of the management of the Basque Administration through the SPRI Group will be showcased at the III World Congress of "Quality, Excellence, Innovation and Good Government", which is being held in Colombia from 26 to 29 June, and will be represented by Tomás Orbea, the General Manager of the SPRI Group, the main group of public corporations of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Trade and Tourism dedicated to help the Basque business fabric.

This congress aims to help to improve the management of the participations as it is an opportunity for the 29 countries to exchange experiences. Their respective and different presentations shall showcase their knowledge management in the core areas of quality, excellence, innovation and good governance.

Twenty-nine countries from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa are taking part in this III World Conference of "Quality, Excellence, Innovation and Good Governance". Along with the Basque Country, Europe is represented by Bob Alisic, a Quality expert consultant, from the Netherlands; Alan Bryden, from the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Development, and the Spanish contingent, Juan Luís Martín Cuesta, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (FUNDIBEQ), and a representative of the Tax Management and Collection Unit of Salamanca Provincial Council.

The speakers include members of the World Quality Council, ISO, directors of excellence models in different countries, and directors of private companies and public corporations known for their successful management experiences.

As has already been pointed out, the themes to be discussed are environmental management, quality management, health, good governance, education, entrepreneurship, innovation and excellence.

Tomás Orbea will speak on three occasions. Tomorrow, Tuesday 26 June, he will speak on "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" in Santa Marta. On Thursday 28 and Friday 29, he will be in Bogota and will speak on "Innovation for Competitiveness, and then on Friday, he will be a member of the panel on "Good Governance with Quality and Excellence".
