The Basque Government's public participation web page can now be accessed from iPad/iPhone devices thanks to the new app launched by Irekia
You can now get the new Irekia app for iPad and iPhone. The new app from Irekia, the Basque Government's public participation web page, is easy to install and allows members of the public to connect to Irekia from anywhere using these new mobile devices.

You can now get the new Irekia app for iPad and iPhone. The new app from Irekia, the Basque Government's public participation web page, is easy to install and allows members of the public to connect to Irekia from anywhere using these new mobile devices.
The new iPad and iPhone app designed by Irekia lets you follow all of the activity on the public participation web page through either of these two devices.
Anyone with one of these devices will be able to access the following sections:
• News: News about the government's activities
• Events: Events organised, promoted or participated in by the government
• Gallery: Gallery of photos illustrating the government's activities
• Videos: Gallery containing videos of the government's activities
As well as allowing you to keep up to date with all the activities of the Basque Government, this app also allows you to share the information by sending it via email to your contacts, commenting upon it in Twitter and sending it to Facebook.
Plus, the app allows you to select the language in which you prefer to view Irekia. This option is configured in the settings of the iPad/iPhone itself. The process is very simple:
1. Select SETTINGS from the home screen
2. Go down to the list of APPS
3. Select IREKIA
4. Select LANGUAGE
5. Choose between SPANISH, BASQUE and ENGLISH
In both the iPad and iPhone versions you can share the content via email, Twitter or Facebook (you can also comment upon the published content via the Twitter social network)
The first version of this app is now up and running and work on the second version is underway. One of the next steps in terms of Irekia for mobile devices is the release of an application for Android (although Irekia can already be accessed with Android devices via the web page).
